Seeking and sharing healthier choices for a positive impact.

R-MWC Environmental Pledge

I pledge to be an environmentally conscientious member of the Randolph-Macon Woman’s College Community and to promote stewardship beyond the Red Brick Wall. To uphold this pledge, I will commit myself to the following:

  • I will conserve natural resources whenever possible. I will recycle and I will neither contribute to nor ignore instances of bin contamination. In addition, I will use water and energy responsibly. I will not run water or leave appliances, lights, or computers on when they are not needed. I will use natural lighting and reduce my use of cooling appliances.

  •  I will reduce waste. I will be sensitive to the amount of waste that I generate as an individual. I will assist my community by reporting potentially wasteful maintenance issues (leaking faucets, running toilets, jammed windows, etc.) to B&G as soon as possible.

  •  I will promote an environmentally-friendly attitude on campus by setting a good example and participating in campus education and improvement endeavors.

  •  I will strive to advance my understanding of local, national, and global environmental issues.
