All changes in the Faculty Handbook are subject to review and approval by the Board of Trustees.

The Faculty Handbook is designed to serve as a source of information about Randolph College, the terms of employment for faculty members, fringe benefits, administrative policies, and other basic matters of interest to members of the College faculty and their families. The College's policies and practices have developed over the years in part from the directives of the Board of Trustees, in part from policies issued by the executive officers of the College, in part from faculty legislation and recommendation, and in part from the requirements of Federal and State law. This Faculty Handbook is not intended to set forth or amplify the contractual relationship between the College and its faculty members. It is the College's expectation and intention that the policies described herein will from time to time be modified, rescinded, or replaced. Faculty members, accordingly, should not rely on the contents of the Faculty Handbook as more than a digest of the College's policies and practices.
