Hi all!  My name is Amanda Louise Russell, but most people just call me Manda.  I was born in Santa Monoica, California.  I loved it there, but when I was ten my parents and I moved to Oregon to escape the smog, among other things.  
I enjoy watching movies and plays, reading, singing, listening to music, drawing, riding horses, and SLEEPING, which I don't get to do very often now that I'm in college.  Another of my favorite pastimes is throwing a string for my cat, Shamrock, who we bought on St. Patrick's Day.  I wish that I could talk to my best friend, Lili, more often, but it's really difficult since I'm at school in Virginia and she's in Southern California.  My favorite author is Jane Austen, so consequently my favorite movie is the BBC/A&E version of Pride and Prejudice, yes all six hours of it.  Currently, I am enrolled at Randolph-Macon Woman's College.  I created this website for the Pearl S. Buck On-line class that I am taking.  Pearl Buck graduated from RMWC in 1914.  This class connects students at RMWC to students at Nanjing University, China, where she spent a great portion of her life.
