(Sorry about the crummy picture! It's the only one I have!)

SUSANNAH LOMANT, QUIETLY INTELLIGENT!

Susannah has developed a fondness for quantum mechanics! After graduation she studied for a year in the physics Master's program at Ball State University . She then transferred to the physics Ph.D. program at Georgia Tech., and then returned to Ball State. Susannah finished her Masters degree at Ball State in June, 1999 with a thesis titled: "Calculations of Nuclear Cross Sections and Astrophysical S-Factors for Reactions Induced by Protons and Alpha Particles on Isotopes of Copper". She then worked as a Teaching Affiliate in the Physics Department at Emory University where she took graduate classes towards a Ph.D. in physics. Susannah is now (2005) teaching physics and astronomy at Georgia Perimeter College.

MELINDA FLOYD, LOVED LAB!

Melinda is probably the only RMWC physics major to star on the varsity basketball team! She was happiest working with tools in lab. For her senior project, Melinda built a nitrogen laser from parts you can buy in a hardware store! I haven't heard from Melinda since graduation. What is she up to?
